Heyman “Jonesey” Jones (Lumbee) is an 87-year-old General Motors retiree who resides in Dundalk, Maryland. He is originally from Robeson County, North Carolina, and came to Baltimore for work in 1959. He recalls his childhood, farming tobacco and cotton with his large family. Heyman drives back to North Carolina multiple times a year. 

He leads an active life, singing in the choir at South Broadway Baptist, participating in car shows, going to see races, and traveling with his wife. A proud member of the UAW [United Auto Workers] Local 239, he still attends his monthly union meetings to visit with friends from General Motors. He is known for knowing a lot of people, which has earned him the nickname “Mayor of Dundalk.” He hopes more people will return to South Broadway Baptist Church. 

Heyman describes himself as an ordinary man who has no enemies and who will do what he can to help his neighbors.
